有次逛Youtube聽到，一直都沒有發現原來還有這麼一支那麼合聲優美且是節奏藍調的團體。

這是來自紐約，1983年成軍，由Bernard Jackson等三位黑人所組成的R&B美聲團體-Surface表面合唱團，他們的樂曲有'80s soft-rock輕搖滾, R&B ballads.風格。熱門單曲包括1987年獲得R&B榜第二名，和全美告示牌單曲榜Top20的「Happy」，1991年獲得兩週告示牌第一名的「The First Time」, 另外還有「You Are My Everything」等多首動聽歌曲，當然他們最出名的歌曲就是「Shower Me With Your Love」。

1989年發行獲得當年R&B榜冠軍和全美告示牌單曲榜第五名的「Shower Me With Your Love」 –Surface用他們極度優美的合聲，柔情浪漫地唱出對於愛情的期待與渴望，非常羅曼蒂克...這首歌詠幸福甜蜜的曲子，已經堪稱史上最佳the wedding standard婚禮歌曲。

這首歌據悉也收錄在2001年台灣偶像劇的貧窮貴公子電視劇原聲帶中。自從1991年最後一張單曲「A Nice Time for Lovin」推出後 - Surface 因理念不合解散， 這好像成為一些當紅團體令人心碎的通病了。
